AFC Mentoring

Our supporters have provided us with the necessary funding to increase the number of youth that our two mentoring programs serve and to develop collaborations with other programs focusing on youth in out-of-home care.

Our mentoring programs, AFCMentors and Team AFC, rely greatly on the generosity of our individual, business, and corporate donors. Through their donations we are able to continue our stellar post-match support, expand our mentor recruitment efforts, offer employment opportunities to more interns, match more youth in out-of-home care with consistent adults, and give mentors and mentees the opportunity to enjoy activities such as:

• An annual Day of Service for foster youth
• Mentor appreciation events
• Mentoring Night at Fenway Park
• Celtics games
• Visits to the Franklin Park Zoo
• Seasonal holiday festivities
• A camping trip
• And much more

We are so very thankful to the individuals and companies who have donated to AFCMentoring. In addition, we would like to thank Department of Social Services workers for their financial support and dedication to our mission. Thanks to all of our funders, we have fully replaced what was formerly federal funding with corporate and other grants. Most importantly, we would like to thank our mentors and mentees for allowing our program to continue and develop. Help us empower adopted and foster youth by donating to our cause!
